Newlyweds Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck would like
to star in their first movie as husband and wife. The dynamic duo married
this summer. They first met during the filming of Daredevil in 2003.
Jennifer of course played Elektra, Daredevil's movie and comic book love
interest. Jennifer Garner said, "Ben says it's in the early stages." All
super hero activities will have to wait though until their new baby is
born this autumn.

Another remake of the 1950's Invasion of the Body
Snatchers is on the way. This is the third remake so far. The first was in
1978 with Donald Sutherland. The second was in 1993, and the latest will
begin filming in late September on location in Baltimore, New York and
D.C. It is targeted for release sometime in 2006 to coincide with the 50th
anniversary of the original. This one is going to star Bewitched actress
Nicole Kidman. The new Invasion is being produced by Joel Silver and
Vertigo Entertainment, the company behind the The Grudge, and is being
directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel.

Adrien Brody stars in "The Jacket" as a Gulf war
veteran named Jack Starks. Jack is having a rough time of it. He gets shot
in the head in Iraq, and is presumed dead temporarily. He makes it home
and while walking down a country road runs into a drunken or drugged up
mom and her little girl. After fixing the drunken mom's vehicle and giving
his dog tags to the little girl, he goes on his merry way. Very nice of
the guy except for the fact the mom shouldn't have been driving in her
condition.

Super Heroes
A Batman special edtion dvd gift set will be
arriving in stores October 18 this year. It will feature all four Batman
movies from the 1980's and 1990's.
It will also contain 9 music videos from Prince, Seal, and the Smashing
Pumpkins. Other bonus features contain director commentaries by Joel
Schumacher and Tim Burton, cast and crew interviews, several new
documentaries, and "making of" featurettes. Now let me just take this time
to complain. I just got the last gift set at Walmart because I could
finally afford it. No wonder it was cheaper. It didn't have all these cool
extras! Holy disappointment Batman! Oh well. If your looking for Batman
dvds with a complete list of released movies and cartoon so far check out
this page
Batman dvds. You might want to bookmark it too in case your interested
in ordering the new Batman dvd special edition gift set.

New Movies
The top movies stayed about the same this week.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was number one $28.3 million, the
wedding crashers were number two with $26.2 million, ,and the Fantastic
Four stayed at number three with a little over 12 million dollars. New
movies, The Island, starring Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johansson as
clones on the run from a facility that has raised them as spare body
parts, took in $12.1 million, and the Bad News Bears only took in $11.5
million dollars. I was actually surprised it took in that much.

Looks like from the list of movies out this weekend
that the "Island" is probably the best bet. It stars Ewan McGregor and
Scarlett Johansson who learn they are clones bred for their organs and
they have to escape before they are harvested. You know Ewan McGregor from
Star Wars as Obi-Wan Kenobi.
