By Michael Russell

In this article we're going to review some of the most memorable telephone
moments in TV and movie history.
The telephone plays a very important part in our lives. Without it we wouldn't be able to communicate with people outside of shouting distance from our bedroom window. But the telephone has played a very important role in TV and the movies as well.

What Does A Film Editor Do?

What Does A Film Editor Do?
By Janelle Ashley Nielson

How many times have you been in a movie theater and when the title "film editor" came up, you had no clue what that meant? In the old days, film editors were rarely given solo main title credit and most people thought they were more of a pair of hands that pieced the film together. As the decades have passed, the role of film editor has become increasingly more publicized and with the invention of computers and digital editing, more and more of the general public is aware of what it takes to edit a movie.

Direct to Consumer DVD Sales on the Rise

Direct to Consumer DVD Sales on the Rise
By Andre Bias

In the past all movies were made for the big screen because studios could
only bring a certain amount of movies to theaters each year. After they left the
big screen they would go straight to video and cable. Now things are much more
different than they were in the past. VHS’s are nearly dead and many studios are
not only producing movies for theaters but they are also producing movies for
direct to consumer sales. This trend, which has been growing over the last
couple of years, is expected to hit its peak in the next few years.

Just saw the Walk the Line movie with Reese Witherspoon and Joaquin Phoenix. It's the story of Johnny Cash and June Carter. Surprisingly this film has done well with critics and it was still good. The music was the best part. Phoenix is actually a great singer.

V For Vendetta Promises to be a Hit

New Movies | SCI-FI Blogs | Super Heroes

Everything I've read so far looks like the upcoming movie V for Vendetta might just be a big hit. There isn't a whole lot of competition out there right now and most comic book based movies do pretty good box office. This one is from Alan Moore the famous comic book writer who turned the Swamp Thing around way back in the 1980's. Moore doesn't want his name on this, but he's not been one to want to involve himself in projects controlled by the man. Kind of a loner he's not exactly embraced Hollywood. Although some have scorned The League of Extraordinary Gentleman movie based on his graphic novel, I thought it was actually very good. I even bought the DVD.
