New Superman Returns Trailer

New Movies | Super Heroes | Superman

Here's the most recent Superman Returns Trailer. A couple of things I noticed. Brandon Routh sounds a lot like Christopher Reeve as Clark Kent, but if you close your eyes and listen to him as Superman you will think you are listening to Tom Cruise. Perry White doesn't seem as fired up as the old days. He's too relaxed. Doesn't he even drink coffee? The effects are going to be very very good! That much we definitely can look forward to.

New Movies

This week these were the top ten movies of the week.

Tom Cruise mission was to take over the box office this weekend. He succeeded, but his enemies have conspired against him blaming his personal lifestyle for Mission Impossible only taking in a measly $47.7 million when it should have made at least 20 million more. Boy do they shoot high!

Decoding and Debunking the DaVinci Code

New Movies

With all the noise about the DaVinci Code I thought this article written by Michael Tummillo was of interest. Apparently, a lot of people have not understood the DaVinci Code book and movie are strictly for entertainment and have no basis in fact whatsoever. This article goes over some of the discrepancies in the book from real history.

Movie Review: Ice Age 2
By Nicky VanValkenburgh

“Ice Age 2: The Meltdown” is about three prehistoric animals—Manny the Mammoth (Ray Romano), Diego the Saber tooth tiger (Denis Leary) and Sid the Sloth (John Leguizamo)— narrowly escaping a melting paradise of water parks, geysers and tar pits. The world as they know it is coming to an end. The animals must run for their lives and fight other critters that threaten their existence.

V For Vendetta Promises to be a Hit

New Movies | SCI-FI Blogs | Super Heroes

Everything I've read so far looks like the upcoming movie V for Vendetta might just be a big hit. There isn't a whole lot of competition out there right now and most comic book based movies do pretty good box office. This one is from Alan Moore the famous comic book writer who turned the Swamp Thing around way back in the 1980's. Moore doesn't want his name on this, but he's not been one to want to involve himself in projects controlled by the man. Kind of a loner he's not exactly embraced Hollywood. Although some have scorned The League of Extraordinary Gentleman movie based on his graphic novel, I thought it was actually very good. I even bought the DVD.

911 Movie Comes to Theatres

New Movies

Acclaimed filmmaker Paul Greengrass (Bloody Sunday, The Bourne Supremacy) writes and directs United 93 due out in April 28 this year. The movie focuses on the hijacked jet that never reached it's intended target on 911 thanks to the brave passengers onboard. The movie will recreate the events of the hijacked airliner in real time.

Shaggy Dog Number 2

New Movies

I really thought Shaggy Dog would have captured the number one spot this week, but instead it came in at number two. Still respectful of course to hit number two, but Tim Allen is like the funniest man alive so what gives.
