The War of the Worlds is a supreme effort by the Steven Spielburg and Tom Cruise. Does that make automatically the best movie of all time? No, it is well done and gives a unique perspective from Tom Cruise's character perspective. You don't know what the world leaders are doing. There are no military planning sessions, just what is going on around Cruise and his movie kids. It makes for a very suspenseful sci-fi drama. You'll be nail biting all the way through. The problem is there is nothing really new here.

You may have read some negative reviews on the Fantastic Four from others, but let me attempt to clarify. If you want shakespeare, then no I guess it wouldn't make you happy. If your one of these guys that can recite the name of every person to ever sit aboard the Starship Enterprise, (super geeks) then you'll probably find something wrong with this movie. If your an average joe who would like to take your family to something not terribly offensive with action, humor, and super heroes, then this one is for you.

It's got a little romance for the ladies, and plenty of funny scenes for the kids and guys who like to laugh. The friendly fight scenes between the Thing and the Human Torch will keep you rolling on the floor. They act like a real family except with super powers. The two deliver flawless guy humor with slightly slapstick action in the grand tradition of the Three Stooges, but not really that unrealistic. Of course their are plenty of car crashes, and fighting for the action fans.
