So I LOVE going to the movies, but lately I have just been really disappointed and now there really isn't anything good coming out. I have actually liked watching tv more than spending my money on going to the movies. Seem to be more good shows on than movies these days. What do you guys think?

Well not so much in the summer. Of course I only go to see the really big movies like Iron Man Indiana Jones, and stuff like Chronicles of Narnia I'll probably buy the DVD.

Most of the TV shows I like are in reruns in the summer. The only two I can think of coming up are Eureka on the SCI-FI channel and Burn Notice on USA which has Bruce Campbell as the co-star.

I love going to the movies also, but, for the most part, have avoided going to the big multiplex cinemas with 10-20 or more theatres that're about the size of shoeboxes, with movie screens that look like huge TV's( although there are a number of them that've put in stadium-type seating so that the moviegoer's looking directly down at the screen rather than at the backs of people's heads), where the general admission, as well as concessions cost way too much, and the tendency to be frequented by rude, cellphone  using and texting audiences.  So, what I do is to periodically go to movies at at least three art movie houses in my area (two of which I hold memberships at), where they show better quality films than many, if not most of the huge multiplex cinemas, and the audiences are generally less rude and obnoxioius.

I do occasionally like to watch movies on TV's TCM (Turner Classic Movies) Channel, but, since I'm really not much of a television watcher, I don't have a DVD player.  Although these great, golden oldie-but-goody classic films are enjoyable on TV, nothing, imho, beats going to see such great films on a great big, wide screen, in a real movie theatre, with the lights down low...as they're meant to be viewed.
