Hey did anyone see the golden globes? anyone remember the dark knight director who accepted heath’s award and praised his film history and stuff? Well maybe I’m drawing a blank here, but what other “quality” films has he even been in besides dark knight? I can't think of other popular flicks hes been in..

Brokeback Mountain was wayyyyy more overrated than Dark Knight would ever be... I'll watch Philadelphia anyday.

I'm in to more old fashioned kind of movies. Movies with action, classic hero types etc.

Dark Knight was cool. A little dark for my tastes, but it's definitely of high quality. Knight's Tale was fun.

Patriot was excellent but a little bloody.

Never going to watch the cowboys kissing movie. No interest at all in that kind of thing. I'm old fashioned I think cowboy pictures should have cowboys shooting at each other and punching each other out etc. Kissing cowboys seems like just a very bad joke.

Philadelphia was intense...speaking of gay-themed movies..I keep seeing promos for this everywhere I'm gonna tell my friend to tune in since he just came out...it looks serious..it’s a true story about this kid whose mom rejects him for being gay and he ends up committing suicide. She realizes how it was all her fault and then became one of the most well known gay activists figures in the US: Movie

wow it's hard to believe that was based on a true story...I did catch Prayers for Bobby over the weekend and it was definitely a downer! Between Sigourney Weaver's character and Ryan Kelly as Bobby..I can't believe it took her that long to realize her son wasnt changing..it must have been hard for Mary Griffith to actually see the movie even thought I think she helped direct it..

I agree with your assessment of Dark Knight, Tim.  However, I think the fact that it was somewhat dark is what made this movie as good and interesting as it was.
