I'm looking forward to it. It's not like they have much of a choice really if they want to revisit the original crew. They have to get new actors, and there really isn't any sense in creating yet another brand new crew.
Of course they could do another Next Generation but the profits have been waning a lot lately on those movies. |

| People will just have to take the movie as it is and not expect it to be the greatest thing since swiss cheese. It's like you know great movies you see as a kid are always good in the back of your mind and nothing new can live up to the memory. The memory is usually better than the actual movie or TV show. | ||

The biggest thing is that the director is J.J. Abrams and he's famous for producing Lost the TV series. A show I watch every week. He also does Fringe on Fox.
I don't know a lot about the new cast as a whole, but I am excited about Zachary Quinto portraying Spock. He plays Sylar on NBC's Heroes. I never miss an episode. I've always thought he looked a lot like Spock even before he got the part. Here's the cast list. Chris Pine ... Kirk Zachary Quinto ... Spock Eric Bana ... Nero Simon Pegg ... Scotty Winona Ryder ... Amanda Grayson Karl Urban ... Dr. Leonard 'Bones' McCoy John Cho ... Lt. Hikaru Sulu Zoe Saldana ... Lt. Nyota Uhura Bruce Greenwood ... Christopher Pike Ben Cross ... Sarek Anton Yelchin ... Pavel Chekov Leonard Nimoy ... Old Spock Greg Ellis ... Chief Engineer Olsen Chris Hemsworth ... George Kirk Here is Sylar from Heroes

I think the guy that plays Kirk's dad used to play Nowhere Man. Remember that show? You can see him on the trailer.

| Correction I don't think Nowhere Man is Kirk's dad, but he does give Kirk a big speech to motivate him to become a Captain. | ||
