Zorro
the Super Hero!
Batman
was inspired by Zorro. Bob Kane loved watching Douglas
Fairbanks as Zorro. In the Batman's original origin "The
Mark of Zorro" was on the marquee of the movie theater
that young Bruce Wayne's parents left before being gunned
down. Batman himself is a Zorro with modern day gadgets.
Recently, on a a episode of Smallville,
"Thirst"
Clark Kent wears a Zorro costume to a Halloween party. Clark
mentions the cape feels right, but he wasn't too crazy about
the mask.

Is it a coincidence that Marvel Comics Spiderman
uses wise cracks to confuse and anger his foes much like Zorro does?
Zorro may be considered the first super hero
to make it to big screen before comic books were even published.
