Benjamin E. Murphy (born March 6, 1942 in
Jonesboro, Arkansas) is an American actor. He is best known
for his role in the television series Alias Smith and Jones,
co-starring first with Pete Duel and later with Roger Davis.
He also appeared in a supporting role in The Name of the Game,
a series featuring a rotating leading cast including Tony
Franciosa, Gene Barry, and Robert Stack. After Alias Smith and
Jones Murphy went on to star in his own series Gemini Man, in
which he played a character who could disappear through the
use of a watch. However, the show did not run for more than a
season.
