Oliver Burgess Meredith (November 16, 1908 –
September 9, 1997), known as Burgess Meredith, was a versatile
American actor. He was known for portraying Rocky Balboa's trainer
Mickey Goldmill in the Rocky films and The Penguin in the television
series
Batman. He also guest starred in several
Twilight Zone episodes once as the devil, once as a man of God
librarian in a future repressive society, once as a little man with
all the time in the world to read books but no glasses for his bad
eyes, and once as a man gifted with supernatural strength.
